The Stout Adventures Freshmen Wilderness Experience (FWE) was introduced in 2003 to offer a unique outdoor adventure specifically for incoming freshmen. Since then the program has helped countless incoming freshmen transition to college life and meet new friends in a fun and adventurous setting. Join us this summer for a trip of a lifetime! FWE is a 5-9 day wilderness trip designed specifically for incoming freshman. It is also a great way to meet other students before arriving to UW-Stout in the fall!

The Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness is a unique natural area located within the Superior National Forest in northeast Minnesota. We will be exploring its serene lakes and rivers, beautiful northern forests, numerous small islands, and several beginner portage trails
